Toshiba builds a photovoltaic power plant in Bulgaria for
37 million euros. The Japanese group Toshiba builds in
Bulgaria a photovoltaic solar power plant with capacity
of 10 megawatts in a project with more than 37 million
euros, whose completion is scheduled for next year.
This is the only investment in the energy sector of the
Japanese consortium in southeast Europe.
The plant, which will be built near the town of Yambol,
in central Bulgaria, will produce enough electricity for
2,000 homes, local sources told EFE.

 

July 7th 2010:
The Italian agency "Gestore dei Servizi Energetici" (GSE)
reports that the installed photovoltaic capacity has reached
the target of 1.2 gigawatts set by the support programme
„Nuovo Conto Energia“. During the next days GSE will report
in which time frame photovoltaic installations still can receive
tariffs under the „Nuovo Conto Energia“.
